Add a Parisian touch to your next family dinner with a delicious quiche made with diced or shredded corned beef.
Directions
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
Grease a pie tin with butter or oil. Lay the pie dough down into the tin and press into the corners. Use a fork to dock the base and walls of the dough. Place into the freezer for 30 minutes.
Add the diced onion and 1 tablespoon of butter to a pan and cook until slightly caramelized.
In a large bowl, mix the eggs, heavy cream, thyme, nutmeg, cayenne, and salt and pepper.
Remove the pie dough from the freezer.
Sprinkle the grated gruyere or Swiss cheese, corned beef, and onions across the bottom of the dough. Pour the custard into the pie tin.
Place the tin onto a sheet tray, and place into the oven on the middle rack. Bake until the quiche is barely set and jiggles in the center, 35–55 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes. Slice and serve.
